Proposal to city council decisions regarding Hauskvartalet (Haus neighborhood)

Dec 8th 2015, 8 pm, the ad hoc group “Et samla Hauskvartal” (“a united Haus neighboorhood”, an unformal co-operation between Vestbredden and Hausmania) initiated the citizen-initiative “Forslag til bystyrevedtak ang. Hauskvartalet” (“Proposal to city council decisions regarding the Haus neighborhood”).

The 300 valid signatures which are mandetory were collected in a little over an hour. Dec 9th 2015, 3 pm, we sent in the proposal to Oslo city council with 915 valid signatures and over 300 signatures from other places in Norway and the great abroad.

We thank you for the support and see this as a clear signal that people care and we note the surprising amount of the city’s citizens that wishes this project to continiue.

Since the matter of the sale isn’t finally processed for delivery to the city council before the city council meeting thursday Dec 10th 2015, 10 am, one must regard this proposal as valid cf. Local Government Act § 39a Citizen Proposal, and one must therefore follow the democratic processes that this entails.

We think that this proposal facilitates further development and dialogue in accordance with the regulation plans for Hauskvartalet.
